Native Americans are losing their language. As the elders die and they take the knowledge of the language with them. I am native american and I have started to learn the language of my people and for me to feel complete and it is a language that other Native Americans take for granted. They think that it will be here forever, but sadly that is not true. Many of the younger generations are hypnotized by the urban culture and the urban music!! What they need to know is that the language of our ancestors is very unique and not just anyone can pass that language on. If people took as much interest in learning as much as they spend on their cell phones or their computers, then there would be know worry of our ancient language dying as the changing of the seasons..
