North Carolina's peach season runs from the end of May through September. More than 70 different varieties are grown in the state, some bearing names of towns in North Carolina's peach-growing belt -- Biscoe, Candor , Troy and Ellerbe .

Indian Trail, NC

The ones I bought in Gaffney, SC were small and weren't very sweet. I think their early peach crop got hurt by the dry weather this year.
