Billerica power-plant fight centers on water use

The consultant's report suggests limiting the operation of the plant to a 13 hour day; I would assume the calculations have been done for a water usage schedule based on a 24 hour around the clock operation. Those calculations would shed some real light on the ability of the wastewater treatment plant ALONE to provide adequately treated water to the site pool shown in the architect's design.

Any long term Billerica resident has seen how The Select Few have Ruined our Town SOME of our Town Managers Came Took and Left us in Ruins after getting paid over 100,000 per yer I said over!! Way over
Billerica residents never had to worry about water before, we have the Concord River in our back yard. WE now have Water Bans and a Mosque for terrorist and we have allowed Way TOO many 40 B's. There is building on every parcel in town. These Buildings are taxing the water supply now and there is not a power plant in town. Thier is only so much water it is called a limited amount! This Power Plant Serves No Purpose to our Town Except if you want Noise and Pollution. Billerica Residents are your Taxes Going to go down I Don't think so. WHO BENIFITS FROM THIS POWER PLANT? IT is not right for our town.

Another town crying poverty....
a cell tower or a Home Depot or a power plant want to come to town.....which will create more money for the town.
But of course the residents piss and moan about it.
They all want more money....but on there terms.
STOP BITCHIN!
Those types of things need to come into your town(s) to make revenue.....
Deal with it and stop CRYING ABOUT NO MONEY!
You have an opportunity to help get more money for your town. DO IT!

let it got your town in Acton, i know for a fact that the masses would say no way. So you need to get over it. You never take the easy money, you make people and corporations work for a project that is beneficial to all parties. That is what negotiations are all about.

OK, so we are already in a water ban (depite a week of rain).. and now you are telling me that the "solution" is to provide low-flow showers to residents. Let's smarten up, Billerica.. the power plant is a bad idea, no matter how you spin it.

you live in acton so what if home depot or the power plant wanted to come to your town!!!! just because we live in Billerica does not mean that we must be forced to live as 3rd class people.

The problem with Home Depot in Billerica is location The best location for a Home Depot would be located at the exit from treble cove road the old Roads construction site it is empty it would be perfect but Billerica Mall No there is a serious traffic problem. Big rigs making the turn from the center.Does any one remember the young kid who was crushed waiting to cross on the corner by a big rig or the girl who was run over by another rig in the day time these trucks were headed to the Mall? HD will tax the police, car break in thefts illegals hanging around and Traffic Look at Tewksbury there are more reported police calls to HD than ever before.

Billerica had a Grossmans in it way before Tewksbury had a Home Depot. No one cried when Grossmans was there. I'm all for a Home Depot in Billerica it would be closer for me to go there than the one in my own town. Not to mention the jobs and money that the town of Billerica would gain. Come on grow up people.

Then why cant we as residents of the town find
another establishment to reside there, Home Depot
can not be the only store that would like to be
here. We so need something in Billerica to make
our town look better it is starting to look pretty
bad in some areas.
