A Billerica woman was convicted on wire fraud charges for defrauding a businessman for whom she had promised to secure a loan. Diane Glatfelter, 48, was found guilty on four counts of wire fraud after a five-day jury trial.

Delayed again: Trial for 2011 murder won't start until 2015

MORRISTOWN - Judge Robert Gilson had expected months ago to begin the trial for Kashif Parvaiz, the man accused of conspiring to have his wife shot and killed on a Boonton Street in 2011. Gilson said Thursday he's anticipating the trial will start early next year, possibly with jury selection in December.

Two plead not guilty to charges they broke into Billerica bio firm

After allegedly getting caught breaking into a Billerica biopharmaceutical and medical-device company Saturday, police say two alleged thieves fled into some nearby woods taunting, "come on in and get us.' ' Billerica's K-9 dog "Yak'' found one of the suspects hiding under bushes in the area of 443 Middlesex St., while the other suspect was found hiding behind a parked car on Hattie Lane, a short distance from Parexel at 8 Federal St. In Lowell District Court on Monday, Jeffrey Seward, 49, of Billerica, and Richard Bebe, 43, of Wakefield, pleaded not guilty to charges of: breaking and entering into a building at night for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $250 and possession of burglarious instruments.

A Chicago-based real estate investment trust has sold a vacant office building in Billerica for $15 million less than it paid for the property nine years ago. RREEF America REIT III Corp., a Deutsche Bank affiliate that owns commercial properties in the U.S., has sold 805 Middlesex Turnpike to RJ Kelly, a Burlington-based commercial real estate firm, for $5 million.

Billerica selectmen address zoning-bylaw issue with trucking terminal

Selectman John Piscatelli placed the item on the agenda upon reading an Aug. 24 article in The Sun, which detailed the process by which V-J Enterprises was granted a special permit by the Zoning Board of Appeals to operate a "wholesale of services involving transportation of freight." Building Commissioner Mark Lalumiere contested a trucking terminal which has been zoned out of Billerica for at least 30 years.
