The trial of a Biggs man charged for a 2001 fatal shooting near Oroville has been reset to Oct. 6. Defendant Marvin Ray Markle Jr., 48, had been scheduled to face trial Monday, but defense attorney David Nelson sought a continuance Friday in Butte County Superior Court.
