Woman arrested on animal cruelty charge
A Big Sandy-area woman who had 71 animals seized from her by the state in May was arrested Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals after she reportedly solicited donations of dogs recently, said Upshur County Pct.
Upshur County Grand Jury returns 26 indictments
The Upshur County Grand Jury on Wednesday returned 26 indictments, 13 of them sealed, and passed two cases, said District Attorney Billy Byrd.
