Bethlehem Golf Club sees green
The Bethlehem Golf Club grossed more than $156,000 in June, its most profitable month ever, and officials say and indication of the success of hiring Starters to be the new course clubhouse restaurant.

Man in prison for Bethlehem shooting says lawyer erred
A former Bethlehem man serving up to 56 years in state prison for a shooting spree -- despite trial testimony from two witnesses who claimed they had falsely identified him as the gunman -- says he deserves a new trial because his lawyer made numerous errors.
Reinaldo Fantauzzi, 25, was convicted in July 2006 of two counts each of attempted homicide and weapons charges and four counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Fantauzzi, the jury concluded, opened fire Aug. 13, 2005, in the Marvine-Pembroke section of the city. He was sentenced to serve 28-56 years in prison.

Police arrest teens suspected in string of burglaries
Bethlehem police yesterday afternoon arrested two juveniles believed to be connected to a string of burglaries and thefts and are searching for a third juvenile.
Lt. Joe Kimock said officers went to the 900 block of Spring Street around 1 p.m. in response to a report of several boys in a silver BMW causing a commotion. Kimock said when the officers arrive, a 16-year-old Bethlehem boy bolted from the driver's side but was caught shortly afterward.
A 15-year-old Kutztown boy pointed out by witnesses to police was also arrested after he gave a false name. The BMW was found to be stolen.

Easton killing linked to love triangle
A secret love triangle coming out into the open apparently sparked a fatal April shooting in Easton's West Ward, witnesses said Wednesday.
Yolanda Cardona, 25, was sent back to Northampton County Prison, where she is being held without bail, after a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Gay Elwell, who sent homicide, possession of a firearm without a license and endangering the welfare of a child charges to court. Elwell dismissed a count of receiving stolen property.
Police initially said Cardona had been cradling her 2-month-old son in one arm when she allegedly shot and killed the baby's father, Harsun Cherry, 29, outside a home at 107 N. Eighth St. Cardona at the time was living at 113 N. Eighth St.
