SEYMOUR, Conn.- A Seymour volunteer firefighter accused of playing police officer has been placed on administrative leave.
Forty-four-year-old Brian Koskelowski, chairman of the Republican Town Committee, allegedly used his flashing blue lights improperly last week.
Police say Koskelowski flashed the blue emergency light inside his Plymouth minivan in an attempt to pull over a driver.
State police say the driver of the other car happened to be an off-duty police officer from Shelton.
Police say the son of Seymour First Selectman Robert Koskelowski, flashed the blue light as a vehicle sped past him while driving in the breakdown lane.
Koskelowski says he was only trying to alert the other driver to his presence.

So mr wise guy - where in this does it mention that your blue light on the way to the fire house is considered an emergency vehicle? Now, I can certainly dig it up for you arse wipe, but why bother since your obviously a pretty dumb person...... :-)

"Keep riding people a$$ with your Radio Shack light and see who I give the ticket to."
Are you kidding? We only buy Whelen's. The cheif gets a discount if we buy more than 6 at a time.
I did have a Radio Shack strobe light in my dorm, though. The girls would hear the B-52's, and see the light... well, it worked just fine.
"Our Crown Vics are universally recognized as police vehicles in CT regardless if they are marked or not."
At night, on a back road with no street lights, from behind, with flashing lights in the rear view mirror? My Torino used to look a lot like your Crown Vic from that perspective. So did my old Roadrunner. Just about anything does.
"I bet you are one of those clowns who buy one at auction and throws your lights in it to try to gain the respect you are incapable of earning on your own."
You mean, buy an old cruiser? Why would I want to downgrade both looks and performance?
Don't make things up. Please stick with the law, officer. If you catch me breaking the law, do your duty. And if you ARE an officer, thank you for your service.

thank you so much nicely put what did u do wrote: I have spent over a good hour looking at everyones comments here and all I have to say is SHAME ON YOU!!! Everyone is sitting here pointing their fingers at what everyone else did wrong or what they should have done. Well what were you doing? Where were you? Were you doing anything to put the fire out? Were you offering medical attention to the victims or the firefighters in there? Were you offering the displaced a place to stay or offering to replace anything that they lost. Were you a nearby resident offering food and beverages from your own refrigerator to the volunteers working hours and hours into the night? Were you the officer that did whatever you had to to help or even stand there with a garden hose. I am a first responder in this town. And we did. Paid or not. We left our families at home and did something. So don't criticize because you didn't do anything! I am very proud of everyone involved. We all came together and got the job done.

Don't be silly. You're either deliberately mis-reading what I've said or you're not a trooper at all.
I'll flip a coin to decide.
By the way, officer, do vehicles who obstruct me on the way to a rescue call have the legal obligation to pull over?

Chiefdom is just a wet dream for his type. HEY **** shut your mouth!! Your blue light does not make you an emergency vehicle and your insistance upon it makes all of us look like retards. If i was your Chief you'd be on involuntary vacation....douche. Which department did you say you were with??

You are not allowed to violate traffic law because of your light. If the vehicle was acting out of the ordinary to prevent you from getting to the scene I would intervene. Conversely If you are operating your vehicle in the manner you have stated I would pull you over and make sure you loose your abused priveldge. BTW it is Trooper.

Wow - that's professional of you. Great attitude towards someone who called 911 for help, thinking that they were going to have a self respecting crew, instead of what showed up. I'll tell you what, if you represent any department, volunteer or career, I sure as heck don't want YOU showing up at my house, should I call 911. Go learn some manners, and while you're at it, reread the first few chapters of your EMT text book on the "Well Being of the EMT".

I'd like to see what you would do in the same circumstance. The volunteers give their free time and effort to train, then they put their safety at risk for the protection of a**holes like you. Do something positive yourself instead of bitching at the people who actually contribute to the community. BOSTON FAN wrote: THIS IS THE TYPE OF RESPONSE CITIES AND TOWNS DEPENDING ON VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE. tHEY ARE SLOW, UNTRAINED, AND THEY CONTINUE TO OPERATE USING BOTH TAXPAYERS MONEY AND YOUR OWN DONATIONS. YOU ONLY NEED TO WATCH THE VIDEO FROM THE NEWS TIMES, THE FIRST LINE WAS NOT PUT ON THE FIRE UNTIL THE ENTIRE CONDO WAS FULLY INVOLVED. THE RESPONSE FROM THIER LADDER TRUCK WAS NOT UNTIL ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO THE FIRE. ALSO NOTICE THE CAR PARKED IN THE DRIVE WAY NOT ONE PERSON TRIED TO REMOVE IT WHEN THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CONDO WAS BURNING. IT IS NO WONDER THAT THE CHIEF OF THE DANBURY FD WANTS TO CONSOLIDATE HIS OWN VOL. UNITS TO GIVE THEM MORE TRAINING ETC. I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT HIS PLANS ARE LISTENED TO BY THE POWERS TO BE. THEY HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THE DPD NOW IT IS TIME TO MAP OUT A PLAN FOR THE DFD. PEOPLE OF BETHEL AND OTHER TOWNS RELYING ON JUST VOLUNTEERS NEED TO TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT WHAT THEY ARE GETTING WHEN ANY EMERGENCY ARISES.
