BENSALEM The county's most-populous municipality plans to hold its 24th annual Fall Festival on Sept. 27 - what it calls its "signature event" - featuring a magician, musical entertainment, a car show, appearances by former sports stars, and fireworks.

In Bucks, constables can earn big money
The office's roots date to colonial times, and critics nowadays say the position is about as relevant as minutemen or muskets. Six Bucks constables - elected and armed court officers paid to serve warrants, transport prisoners, and handle other duties - averaged more than $100,000 in pay annually the last two years, eclipsing salaries of the judges they work for and even the county commissioners, according to an Inquirer review of records.

Pigeon drop scam' tricks senior out of $14K
A senior man from the Northeast is out $14,000 after a group of scam artists tricked him into withdrawing the cash from his credit card account, suburban police say. The set-up is commonly known in the law enforcement community as the "pigeon drop scam," said Bensalem Township police, who are leading the investigation and have released photos of four suspects and their vehicle.
