Police Dept. Report Arrests - Officers arrested Maverick Petz, 23, Pratt, at approximately 12:45 p.m., June 14, in the 1900 block of Lincoln Street.

The Kansas State Historical Society says the state Historic Sites Board of Review nominated the sites during its quarterly meeting earlier this month.

Police Dept. Report Accidents - Officers investigated a two vehicle accident at 12:10 p.m., April 23, in the 1500 block of Lincoln Street involving vehicles owned by Lynn Gunn, Omaha, and Darrel Snyder, Concordia.

Third time was a charm for Wakeeney Speedway. After the Spring Fling was weathered out the previous two attempts, Mother Nature finally cooperated Sunday, April 14, and over 140 race teams showed up to compete in the 5 divisions.
