SIU Student From West Suburbs Dies In Crash
A construction-zone traffic accident on Tuesday claimed the life of a Southern Illinois University student.
State police say 22-year-old Ryan Rendleman of Batavia was stopped by a flagman in a construction zone on Illinois Route 127 when a tractor-trailer slammed into back of car.

State police say the driver of the truck that slammed into Rendleman's car, 51-year-old Kevin Morrison of Beecher City, was not injured. The drivers of the other two trucks also escaped injury. Read more
