Disabled vets inaugural bike ride passes through area

Scores of on- and off-duty firefighters and police officers from Summit, Bedford Park, Justice and the Pleasantview Fire Protection District in Hodgkins were on hand June 14 to greet a parade of motorcyclists and bicyclists in an inaugural Midwest event in which disabled soldiers rode bicycles from Wisconsin to Chicago.
