Abandoned Mine on State Game Land #60 to be Reclaimed

State Rep. Camille "Bud" George, D-74 of Houtzdale, said a Smokerun firm will reclaim at no cost to taxpayers a mine site in Gulich and Beccaria townships that was abandoned about 60 years ago.

Daniel Stephenson Jr. of Coalport was involved in a hit-and-run accident yesterday on Market Street in Beccaria Township in which he lost control of his vehicle and it struck an embankment and a fence.
