Planning Commission signs off on quarry expansion
“Verdon Road is just too narrow for the big gravel trucks. The drivers have great difficulty keeping their wheels on their side of the yellow lines. This is of particular concern when a school bus or other large vehicle is in the incoming lane”
The Hanover County Planning Commission held a public hearing Jan. 17 regarding the proposed expansion of existing quarry operations in Doswell by Martin Marietta Materials Inc. via Hanover Herald-Progress
