Community Keeps Calm Despite Questions About Wal-Mart Shooting

While the police shooting of an unarmed black teen in Ferguson, Mo., continues to get considerable attention, another shooting of a black man by white police officers, near Dayton, Ohio, has been met with a more measured response. Beavercreek, Ohio, is a mostly white, moderately affluent city of about 40,000.

We all know the stories of "Rosie the Riveter" from World War ll, but what about 'Ida the Seamstress' from 1910? Ida Holdgreve, born in Delphos, Ohio in 1881, worked as a seamstress for the Wright Company in Dayton from 1910 to about 1915, according to information provided by a distant cousin.

Investigators from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation closed down the Beavercreek Wal-Mart early Wednesday morning to reconstruct the John Crawford III shooting. A written statement from investigation officials read, "Agents with the Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducted a reconstruction of the incident in an effort to further define the timeline of events.
