We certainly had our fair share of rain and at times snow during April across Northern Michigan with melting snow and rain leading to some minor flooding on area rivers.

Beautiful, remote and rich in history, Beaver Island captivates many of its visitors, who return again and again.

Beaver Island, located at the northern end of Lake Michigan, has been home to many closely knit communities such as Ottawa and Chippewa tribes, fur-trading French voyageurs, a splinter sect of Mormons, Irish fisher-folk, and German lumberjacks among others.
