It is clear that speeding was an issue here and regardless of the reason behind the speeding, it is now very common to see people speeding in Bear Valley - from the people who don't think the cell phone laws apply to them (I SEE you people, ALL THE TIME with your PHONES to your EARS as you speed past me and the kids on horses trying to cross the road!) to the food service vehicles and even the BVS Association vehicles, FLYING down the road. Contractors, too. People, ALL OF US HAVE to be aware of and responsible for not only how WE drive, but how our workers, kids and spouses drive. Then let's hold accountable vendors and delivery people. SLOW DOWN! Get FF your danged PHONES! And for the woman who can flying onto our property a few months ago and almost ran over my dog then my husband - if you go on someone else's property, you had BETTER be nice, sow down, or don't visit. Ever. The lack of care and respect of some cost the health even lives of others. Speed limits, laws of all kinds regarding vehicles, are in place for a reason. So when you are SPEEDING down Lower Valley or Bear Valley Road, and a woman on a horse SCREAMS at you, it is probably me. If you are on your cell phone, you better keep an eye out because if I am close to home, I will call you in. Personally, I get tired and heart-sick of reading about things like this - "accidents" that would not have happened if people were not so selfish. It is selfish to drive without thought to anyone else on the road. See all the flashing lights and stop signs on 202 now? That is because of selfishness. Now, someone else has lost their life, a man has lost his wife, and to all of those who drive with a phone to their ear, texting or whatever other idiot thing you are doing, YOU COULD BE NEXT! STOP IT!
God bless the family.... their pain is unimaginable. Clearing weeds cost Peg her life. |
