A Grainger County boy is recovering after being hit by a car Sunday morning. It happened on City Drive in Bean Station around 11 a.m. Police said the 12-year-old was riding a bicycle when he was hit.

Body of drowning victim recovered in Grainger Co.
Grainger County dispatchers said crews recovered the body of a drowning victim. The incident happened around 6 a.m. Sunday in Bean Station near Highway 25-East. Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Bean Station Police Department, Fire Department and Rescue Squad, as well as the Grainger County Rescue Squad.
