Alot of time and wasted money is being spent on the latest in belt gadgetry. Maybe after they get their new toy they can get back to policing. Like cleaning up the drug deals taking place on our streets in the middle of the day and getting the scumbags stealing, breaking into cars and garages EVERYWHERE in this city off the streets!!

But me thinks it really is all about extending something else.

My Oh My....seems someone was naughty to the police somewhere and got to ride the lightning one time!!
Tasers, when used prudently, are one of the best non-leathal weapons available to law enforcement. When used on a combative subject it only takes one officer to subdue the suspect and place him/her into custody. No more "dog piling" onto a suspect causing undue injury to suspect or officers.
They should NOT be used on someone just because they say no or fail to comply with a verbal command, and should NEVER be used on a handcuffed person or the elderly unless extreme justification can be sited!!
When placed in the hands of a 23 year old kid fresh out the academy with a God complex, Yes, they are dangerous. If that is the case...it's the adminstrations fault! Failuer to train or properly supervise.

Alright Miss "Missing Nick", I am truly sorry if Nick was someone special to you. Next, what a vitriolic one sentence wonder you are. Are you a badge bunny? Let me suggest you read the condensed trilogy, "Shadow Country" by Peter Matthiessen. It involves a life changing hurricane. I am just stoking your interest level. Do keep a dictionary handy. Mr. Matthiessen is a patient writer who commands the english language.

Interesting...Badge Bunny, Seriously! Don't judge everyone by the actions of your mother. Is that why you dislike the police so much?
And exactally who was it that read that book to you? Wait, I know...one of your mommy's "cop buddies" has the audio version.

Did you know that in some cultures, talking smack about another persons momma can lead to color on color crime? My mom is just fine thank you, and yours? FYI, I like the police. There are many flaws in the (in)justice system of course. I know of corrupt judges, DA's, lawyers of all kind, and the criminal activities of police. Do you think the BPD chief is a good guy? And yes, I had someone write this for me. Gotta go, story time. P.S. Don't dread Mondays. The world needs file clerks.

And from your simple, limited comments it's obvious that you have securities issue in you manliness...or lack there of.
It's also obvious that you were FIRED from The Bay. For what reason? You seem to be unable to take responsibility for your own inadequacies and feel compelled to blame others. You seem to also have a need to think that women are only useful to serve you in non-threatining positions. Interesting! Have women laughed at you sexual performances in the past?
Chin up little man....make the most of your dead end job and try on-line dating, at least there you can post pics of real men and claim they are you.

LMAO! That was really good. That was smart and witty without being classless. There are only a couple of spelling and grammatical errors. Even with the red marker, I'll charitably give your fiction a B+. Hey, if you have nice legs and are a non-smoker....Well, we are online. Next Saturday, LSU/AUB? I have good seats. PEACE.

OH MY! "without being classless."...Geez, comming from someone who has posted some of the most ugly and crass post on Topix...that means absoutly nothing!!!
Again with your insecurities I see, your need to grade me. Wow. You are lonely.
Thanks for the invite to the LSU/AUB game but I already have tickets...real ones too! I'm sure your side job as a vendor selling beer to those of us who can actually afford to pay for good seats, you are given a nice corner to rub you feet and watch the game between sales.

OH SNAP. What an interesting screen name. In pop culture that can be interpreted as swishy. Well it is the "Bay", and since being gay is no longer "Jim Crow"...enough on that. Since you have my funny antagonist ahead on points, let me make a couple more observations. There are no beer vendors in Tiger Stadium. The luxury boxes,(AKA Tiger Den Suites) have food and alcohol catered. Unless smuggled, alcoholic beverages are not available in non-climate controlled seating. IMHO, Missing Nick did not warrant a split decision victory, but I will graciously accept the the judges scoring. See you at Serranos. PEACE

Wow...apparently you have been to "Death Valley" a few times. I'm guessing that since you can no longer be a real police officer you’re a security guard there, hence your knowledge of the stadium.
It's OK, really, being a security guard isn't anywhere near being a REAL cop....but you do get to call them from the safety of your little guard shack with it's big, comfy desk chair!!
I am amused with your constant need to judge people and your constant need to try and impress everyone with your self importance, those pesky insecurities again? Do you consider yourself an "Alpha Male? Were you once an athlete but now...being past your prime, feel you must assert yourself so that you can feel smug and superior? Face the fact that it wasn't anyone's fault that you were fired from Bay PD except yours and that while you’re sitting at home alone that too is no one's fault but yours!

Since tellnit hasnt responded to the posts I have to think that OH SNAP is right! And if it's the Clark I remember then Missing Nick is dead on!
He was a sorry POS that was going to get a law suit brought against the PD.
He also thought himself to be an Alpha Male he would even blowdry his chest hairs before he went on duty!
What a goober he was.

Sorry, that would be an incorrect eponym. Been in Austin for a funeral. Went to 6th st and campus. LSU is #1, but in general, I like UT.

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Libra

Happy New Year, Libra!. How's that poor old body feeling this morning?! If you're having a gathering, include casual acquaintances or newcomers as if they were one of the family. You're a real social animal and you know how to put people at their ease. This is a wonderful talent: not only do you have a network of friends and social contacts, as well as business ones, but you have the ability to bring others together. Perhaps you should start a dating agency this year!
