why is the Amber Alert System not being used for Dora??
I Hope she returns safely, but I haven't heard anything about the Amber alert system.
Wouldn't this help with bringing her home sooner? My prayers are with the family !!

Glad to see someone showing concern for miising child.

My grandaughter has been missing sine 8/22 in Pennsylvania and no one there seems to care or post things like this.

I totally agree with this. Where is the Amber Alert System? What do we have it for if no one is going to use it. I wish the family all the best and I hope Dora returns home safe. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I think other news sources are saying she may be a run-away, so that might be why there is no amber alert as I think that system is only used for abducted children.

thank you for replying ... it is a shame that she ran away. Dora please come home safe, no matter what made you leave home please return... it seems everyone will be understanding and will have "open arms" !!!! I will continue my prayers !!

I hope the people of Alden start looking around, as a 30+ year resident of this town, it is very small and not much goes on unnoticed. Please watch for her if you are in Alden, you just might spot her.

Dora, if you are reading this, call your family and get home you have a family who is frantic and needs to know you are OK.

I am praying that she is found safe. What a terrible thing for her family...We should all pray for them also...

Dora Is one of my many cousins & she has been going through a rough patch at the moment & she needs to no that we all no about that & she needs to get home so we all could get her help! I really think we need to hound the News to make this the top story again to get more people aware or to help look or to let her know how concerned people are. I doubt she is sitting reading this and that really bothers me as a parent myself !!! Believe me I feel bad about the football player and all but to me this should considered a TOP story !!!! I am still praying for everyone involved !!!

So little to go on. Did she run away, or is foul play (kiddnapping) suspected? Where and when was she last seen? What was she wearing? How ould she transport herself from place to place without her parents (potentially) knowing about it - ie: friends who have a driver's license etc....???

Really! I just came across this by chance, never even saw it on the news! Even if she is a run away, she is only 13 yrs old. I hope she is safe & returns soon.

A missing girl should be the top news story, instead of some overpaid athlete receiving preferential medical care in a sport that he signed on to willingly.

Dora Poodry is missing at this point and she must come back home to her family. Life may be hard, but family is forever. Creator please show her the path back home.

I know that things get tough and that it seems like it is too much to handle, but remember no matter what there is always a light at the end of every tunnel. I am a strong beleiver that things happen for a reason. No matter how much you are going thru you will get thru it and it will make you stronger. Dora go home and have your family there to support you thru everything, that is what family is for. Family gets mad but no matter what they love you and will help you thru the toughest time. Don't run from your problems, they will always follow or create more. Face them and learn from them. Get home safe and soon.

This is America people. Where a person is valued based on outward appearances. On whether they are poor, from another culture, or even as simple as male or female. Not on who they are inside and may become someday.

Just like I find it interesting that the Town of Tonawanda police had no interest when an underaged loved one of mine was acquaintance raped by a white man.

But they seemed to care alot when a black counselor was caught with an underage girl, who was the same age.

I do not feel that her being Native American has much to do with it. A missing teen is a missing teen. I feel the problem with this case is it sounds like a run away, this is handled alot differently than just missing. This is over two counties now and is harder than if she ran away to the same county she lives in. I know that i saw this on a local website and did hear it over the radio on WBTA a Genesee county station, and her picture was on the web site as well.
