Something I'll Never Forget .......
I was driving on the 10 fwy in the middle lane, when I noticed a white Toyota Camary, approaching me from behind in the fast lane, at a very high rate of speed. I thought, my god that guy better slow down! Well he lost control a bit and hit one of the cal trans cones, and ended up in the far left (maybe carpool) lane. Not but 2 minutes later, I noticed all the traffic had stopped, and saw the car smashed into the wall. As I approached the scene there was alot of debree on the road, and after the driver in front of me moved to the right, I saw the victim's body (the passenger) laying on the ground, right in front of my car. In order to not run over him, I moved to the right. As I passed him, I looked down and noticed that not only was he dead, but his "HEAD" had been decapitated! I'll never forget this .... if only the driver of the car would have been more responsible, this poor man would still be alive. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I drove by the accident just after it happened as well and I too will never will forget what I saw. I couldn't sleep that night after seeing the man in the road like that. I think about it all day. Everyone needs to remember to wear their seatbelts...its so important. But Redbucket, he wasn't decapitated, his eyes were still open. Oh my goodness its so sad. My prayers are with the family as well.

why would you say he got decapitated? That was one of my BEST childhood friends and when i read all the news articles online and your comments on ALL of them i believed it redbucket, and immediately went to see the family with my condolences. I told them I was sorry to hear and they had to painfully tell me what really happened. I had told all of our friends what I had heard.......... Your an asshole for reals. For those who know him and care his service will be on Nov. 10th @ 11 a.m. at the Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont.

He wasn't completely decapitated but there wasn't much left either..... If that really matters. The poor guy died a horrible death and my heart and my prayers go out to both families. There are many victims in this case.

I knew Dominic, I have known him since we were both kids. He was a happy go lucky person. Always smiling. Love music and being with friends all the time. He is never forgotten in my heart. I no longer live in banning now, but I heard about it shortly after the accident had occured. I agree with everyone, that moron should not have been driving, he should not have been allowed to own a vehicle. Seatbelts are very important. Dominic always hated them though. My heart is very sad over what has happened. The fact that i can't be their for the services affects me as well. I will never see my firned again, and never hear his voice. I remember as when I first heard about it, all I could picture was him lying in a coffin at his funeral. Then I heard about his head not being attached, and that was the only image I could see. That has been the only image I have been able to see. Halloween was one of his favorite Holidays, I remember when I was younger, probably about 13 I went as a guy. I wore his clothes, he helped me with that costume. This Halloween I had a hard time even pretending to be ok. dominic will never be forgotten by me, I will always love him. It feels like a piece of me is gone now, but I know someday I will be with him again. Everyone remember that in an instant everything you know and everything you have can be gone. Be safe never get into a vehicle with someone who has been drinking. It's never worth it.

I don't think that redbucket was trying to cause any harm to anyone. He sounds like he was pretty traumatized himself and was just recounting what he saw. That is a form of healing... talking about it. This was a horrific accident all the way around. From the people in the car, to the one's who saw, to the one's who will be missing Dominic and also for the family of the man who caused it. This is a horrible senseless loss. The driver and passenger were best friends, and whatever they were doing they were doing it together. Martinez will be in jail for a long time, and even more than that he will have to live with himself everyday knowing that he caused the death of his best friend. It is a sad, sad situation. I hope you feel better soon Olivia. Just know that the whole area is shaken from this mess and we all feel the sadness.

It was not the person who posted this that I found out what had happened. In fact he was actually decapatated. Thank you for the concern.

Don't get me wrong they are both my friends, but sad to say that night they were obviously both drunken idiots,Dom for getting into the car and animal, for thinking it was ok to be driving after he had been drinking a terrible terrible mistake on both of their parts. my heart and prayers go out to EVERYBODY that has been affected by this tragic accident.

No I havent been arrested? Sterno typing would be to assume without facts, its not stereotyping when the facts are there,

facts are right there to support he was a person with a drinking (and other) problems and shouldn't have been on the road.
Its a tragic loss, perhaps those with friends whom fear this should find a way to intervene, sure they would be pissed but ALIVE to be pissed.

That man I am sure is going through alot himself. He was OBVIOIUSLY friends with Dom, and now he has to live with the fact that he killed him. It was poor judgement on both parties. Like has been posted on comments here already! You can't blame him! Like I stated in my first comment, Dom hated seatbelts he always has. It probably would not have mattered if he had been wearing a seatbelt even going the speed limit. Does everyone know why they call these types of things accidents? Remember that, and we are all bothered by the untimly death but we are all put on this earth for one reason! To die! We live to die and in the end we are remembered by others left behind. It was his time to go. It hurts alot but it was his time. Think about the man in jail who is thinking he would have rather of died, and not because he is in jail, because he killed someone he loved. There is always two sides to every story!

To everyone who thinks I'm an A-hole for writing my comment. I would like to let you know that I was not trying to be cruel in anyway whatsover. What I saw that night was very tramatic and to this day I can't get the vision of what happened to the passenger out our my head. I only wanted to share my thoughts in hopes that anyone who reads it will think twice about drinking and driving, as this could happen to you, someone you love, or a complete stranger! I really am sorry for your loss (as I stated in my org. comment) as both families will have to deal with this .... no matter who's at fault. May god bless all of you.
