Baldwin Park pushes for further study of trash facility

Do you want to be poisoned even more by all these trucks traveling feet away from your homes!!! Call city hall and protest. Let them build this in the middle of their families and kids and see how they like it! Baldwin Park will get all the poison while Irwindale gets milliions. WHAT A JOKE!!

Irwindale has spent 3 million dollars purchaseing property at 282 Live Oak for this murf. The plan was scrapped when I got Athens to reveil at a council meeting that adjacent property at 300 live oak would also be needed for the project. 300 live oak is the home of R and R truck parking owned and operated by former mayor and current council member Mark Breceda. He was iimproperly voteing for this project while keeping the fact that 300 live oak would be part of the plan a secrete. This is under investigation by the District Attorney. But they are moveing very slowly. Baldwin Park citizens should contact the D A to inquire as to the status of this investigation.

Also lets not forget that Waste Management has a BP facility nearby that also pollutes. If Manny was concern for the environment he should consider the WM pollution...BP needs to worry about their development issues particularly the failed project on Ramona / Maine. Taco stands and cheap shoe stores are not the way to keep your city financially healthy!

Keeping these three idiots in council is not financially smart either. They are hiding that the city is in debit by over 3.5 million. This will come out very shortly after the election. the new council will bring in new business and more jobs.

Looks like these cities are going to loose residents. Who wants to live near a trash dump? If I lived nearby and owned my own home, I would rather fall into foreclosure than live there.

This is one case where the NIMBY's have a valid point. Look at Athen's track record with the AQMD. All of the violations are there for the public to see. Do a search through the Tribune's archives. Speaks loudly enough, dontcha think?

Man, if the MRF caused people to move away, I'm all for it! BP and its surrounding cities are waaaay too crowded. Ever try driving down a street with a school on a weekday morning? Bumper to bumper traffic!

This City should check into a Company in Texas that has developed zero emission for it's trash to power generation. Sustainable Power Corp. It's a brand new technology that actually works

we almost had the entire redevelopment of ramona and maine avenue but it never happen since the economy stinks! look at what happen to "The Lakes" in west covina

if the trash facility thing is built by these homes, i guarantee these homes values will go way down

WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE CAN'T AFORD Whole foods, and Fresh and Easy stores? I like others in my neighborhood in BP have to drive to Pasadena to Whole Foods and to West Covina for Fresh and Easy! Superior is just like Vallarta and Value Plus! Why put something similar in that complex!!!!

This sounds like the loser council people who only make up things to make you think they are fighting for you the resident. If all they can say is you don't live here and your using your families name then they have really nothing. These people have fought for over 3 years against the council bulldozing down the city and WON.
