Spill from aging Maine pulp mill worries St. Croix conservationists
Those concerned about the health of the St. Croix River say the spill of pulp-mill wastewater into the Wapsaconhagen Stream is a worrying development. A recent spill of two million litres of partially treated pulp-mill effluent into a tributary of the St. Croix River is raising concerns about the long-term health of the river dividing New Brunswick from the United States.
