Why doesn't this article say whether the meeting is continued to Tuesday Night? I don't think all of the articles were covered.

Rob (Shapiro)- the meeting shouldn't be held on a Saturday morning, NOT because of youth sports, but because Saturday is a day of worship (for religious non-christians). They would never consider having a meeting on a Sunday morning! The fact that the town holds Town Meeting on Saturday morning shows me two things; 1. there's a lack of sensitivity in Lunenburg for diversity and 2. there is not any apparent cultural diversity in Lunenburg!

there is a tremendous level of sensitivity for diversity in lunenburg.. and there is more cultural diversity in lunenburg than many would think..

the town meeting and election dates have been on saturdays for decades and were reviewed when the home rule charter was made 8 years ago.. and again this year.. no one has come forward to object to the saturday for religious observations.. but lots of parents for school sports.. so this year the town tried to have no games scheduled in town for sports so parents did not have to choose.. and parents objected to that.. it is hard to please every one..

Disagree...
You totally made the point the other woman was making...you said "no one has come forward to object to the saturday for religious observations.. " if Lunenburg valued diversity, NO ONE WOULD NEED TO COME FORWARD, the people who set the dates for these things would automatically consider Saturday morning religious committments in their planning!!!!!!

The vote to fund the Regional School District
planning Committee indeed made it as Mr. Rogers
would say, "a great day in the neighborhood!"
