Dont worry about us that live here full time and if we would like to evacuate in case of an emergency. I dont think that helicopters could get us out of here. The bridge will provide a vital link to the Mainland if we should need it.

I am for the Mid-County bridge. I consider it a necessity! However I do fear for the welfare of the north beach and especially the four wheel drive area. With the limmited beach access in Currituck county I believe the only problems the bridge will bring is a huge crowd of day trippers from Va. to the four wheel drive area. In my opinion the place is already out of control in the summer months. I am 100% behind the idea of limmiting access to the four wheel drive beaches. I believe some form of permit system needs to be implemented before the bridge is complete. County residents will get a sticker, renters will recieve a weekly pass and day trippers will pay a small fee for a daily pass whose numbers will be limited and revolving. After the limit is met one must leave before another enters. I know there will be many details to work out, but without some form of deturant, I feel the traffic on the Northern Beaches will be out of control.

They should have never put the first bridge across. The beach would still be a beach.
