Siplin, 31, of Rochester, was charged March 6 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and speeding after a traffic stop on Interstate 390 in the town of Avoca. *Amethyst R. River, 20, of Elmira, was charged March 8 with petit larceny at Wal-Mart in Erwin. *Alan D. Estep Jr., 28, of Addison, was arrested Feb. 28 on a Steuben County Superior Court warrant charging him with second-degree rape and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies. He is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 15 years old in November. He was committed to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. *Darryl D. Hall, 46, of Corning, was charged March 4 with criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree forgery. He is accused of using a stolen credit card in February to purchase items at Wal-Mart. *Silvia M. Cremidis, 33, of Corning, was charged March 6 with endangering the welfare of a child under 17 years old. *Michael S. Parzych, 23, of Caton Road in Corning, was charged March 8 with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident on Brown Road in South Corning. *Rondelle K. Moore, 23, of Rochester, was charged March 13 with second-degree assault after an investigation into a March 6 altercation in the Steuben County Jail. Moore, an inmate in the jail, was arraigned in Bath Town Court. He was returned to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond. *Harold Leroy Hand Jr., no age provided, of Smith Road in Cameron Mills, was charged March 13 with driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. *Felix T. Davila, 57, of the Budget Inn at 332 W. Morris St. in Bath, was charged March 17 with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and welfare fraud. He was arraigned in Bath Village Court and sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail. *Shannon M. Butler, 31, of West 10th Street in Elmira Heights, was charged March 19 with second-degree bail jumping. She was charged after an investigation into her failure to appear in Bath Village Court in 2003 to answer another felony charge. Butler was arraigned in Bath Village Court and released to reappear at a later time. *Police are investigating a break-in at a wooden shed on Bailey Hill Road in Ulysses Township sometime between Dec. 1 and March 10. A microwave oven and two paintings were stolen. *Rodney W. Robinson, 51, of Langhorne, Pa., was charged March 11 with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on West Street in Galeton. *Police are investigating the theft of copper and brass pipe and pipe fittings between Jan. 1 and March 10 from the Shepard Estate on Herrington Road in Sharon Township. The loss is valued at $1,000. *Kris M. Holtz, 19, of Shinglehouse, was charged March 7 with harassment. *Sean R. Easton, 40, of Genesee, Pa., was charged March 14 with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on state Route 449 in Genesee Township. *Charles T. Rumpff, 20, and Chasity R. Schorpp, 21, both of Watkins Glen, were charged March 15 with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. They are accused of stealing checks from an elderly woman and passing them to a local businesses. *Jocelyn F. Almon, 52, of Montour Falls, was charged March 15 with felony driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, inspection violation and failure to keep right after a traffic stop on North Decatur Street. *Jeremy P. Sedlack, 25, of Watkins Glen, was charged March 17 with second-degree criminal contempt for violating a court order. *Dustin Fontenot, 20, of Wellsboro, was charged March 11 with harassment. *Richard L. Beckett, 18, of Lawrenceville, was charged March 9 with driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said his car left Wheeler Road in Lawrence Township. *Oliver Crisp, 63, of Granville, was charged March 6 with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 6 in the borough of Burlington. *Timothy Beavers, 22, of Waverly, was charged March 14 with theft stemming from an investigation into copper piping taken in December from a Little Meadows residence. *Joseph Jeffrey, 35, of Rome, was charged March 13 with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 6. *Richard Bump, 40, of Towanda, was charged March 13 with falsely reporting an incident. Police said Bump reported that he had been assaulted by three inmates at the Bradford County jail, where he was also an inmate. *Marvin J. Brotzman Jr., 28, of Roaring Branch, was charged March 11 with rape and indecent deviate sexual intercourse stemming from an attack on a 23-year-old woman at a Troy residence. He was committed to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail. *Mellany Jane King, 48, of Nelson, was charged March 13 with retail theft at the Family Dollar store on Elmira Street in Troy. *Dana J. York, 40, of Towanda, was charged March 16 with assault in Burlington Township. *Jordan F. Frisbie, 21, of Monroeton, was charged March 14 with harassment. *Autumn Wright, 25, of Monroeton, was charged March 15 with driving while intoxicated and making false reports to the police. *Police are investigating the theft of a John Deere Model A tractor from a property on Bauman Road in Granville Township. *Police are investigating the theft of a washing machine from Smithfield Township. *Scott L. Maloney, 26, of Monroeton, Pa., was charged March 16 with assault. *James E. Maxson, 37, of Clark Street in Waverly, was charged March 9 with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Clark Street. Maxson also was cited for operating a motor vehicle while the registration was suspended and failing to keep right. *James J. Shutter, 21, of Stone Road in Prattsburgh, was charged Saturday with driving while ability impaired by alcohol and failure to stop for a stop sign in Potter. *Michelle L. Downs, 33, of Birch Street in Keuka Park, was charged Saturday with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. *State police are investigating the theft of fire equipment from a volunteer firefighter's vehicle sometime between March 15 and 17 on Glen Avenue in South Corning. The equipment includes a red bag, fire boots, bunker pants and coat, helmet and a portable radio. "SCFD" is printed on the back of the coat.
