Drug bust at an Augusta country club

The Columbia County Sheriff's Officein joint effort with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, arrested a man after find drugs stashed in his office a the West Lake Country Club. According to reports, Edilberto Diaz-Morales was found with 59 grams of methamphetamine in his truck and 14 grams of methamphetamine in his office.

A new law that goes into effect next month is going to make it harder for you to fill certain prescriptions. Starting Oct. 6, any medicine with Hydrocodone is moving from a Schedule 3 to a Schedule 2 drug under federal law.

Augusta officials have a full agenda for Tuesday's commission meeting

Commissioner Ben Hassan says he put the item back on the agenda to keep the city from wasting the more than $30,000 the commission spent for the search. The commission did not agree with the mayor's choice of Oscar Rodriguez for the job back in July.

Pittman says no to commission seat

Pittman sent a letter to the Augusta Commission today saying the commission's selection process is "nothing more than a very public political horse trading side show." Augusta Commissioners are expected to vote soon to nominate an interim appointment for the District 7 Commission seat.

RCSO: Teen molested by Augusta man

A teenager said she was sexually assaulted after agreeing to meet a man through Facebook, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said. The mother of the girl, who was 13 at the time, told deputies her child had been sexually assaulted near the end of April or the beginning of May, the July 24 report said.

City of Augusta honors those killed on Sept. 11th
