Just another reason AC has something for everyone. I could care less about the fancy shops, and have never been in them although they make a nice walk. If thats your bag then go for it. We go to Ac for the games, shows and eating.

You can take the walk at Harrah's Chester Pennslyvania slot warehouse, but you might end up in the neighboring prison. How fun!

N.J.G.= you got that right, might be nice to look at but its all
overpriced merchandise you can get for less money elsewhere.
Who ever said " I am going to AC for some shopping ?"
Its for the tourists, everyone else goes to AC for GAMBLING.

Yet the shops always appear busy whenever we are there. Not everyone cares to gamble 18 hours a day. This is what Las Vegas has done, it's not all about the gambling anymore, but entertainment, shopping, attractions, with some gambling thrown in. AC is smart to diversify to attract a wider audience.

Hope they remember to put in some public restrooms this time. That is the biggest shopper complaint.

LUCKYINNC = you make a very good point and while it might be good for AC i think it will not help the gambling situation because
1) it should have been done by the combined casino/investor groups
many years ago when times were good and, 2) the Casino's & shops
are still surrounded by a blighted area (unlike Las Vegas) that
hasn't changed in 30 years and it does not make for an attractive destination unless you only frequent the Casino's & Shops during
the daylight hours = that is the sad truth, like it or not.
AC and the NJ Govt. failed 30 years ago by not making it another
Las Vegas or at least a miniature version of Las Vegas.

You make some good points. One of the biggest things AC has to overcome is the blight just a block or two from the boardwalk, and the unsavory characters that hang around. Something they will probably never be able to overcome. Vegas is a much safer environment at night, although don't wander too far off the strip.

Overpriced merchandise? its an outlet mall the cheapest merchandise money can buy with the best quality is at the Walk... what are you talking about overpriced? This mall is doing amazing actually, and its on where near overpriced, this place has the best prices hands down. Dont believe me? Go to the Coach outlet on the weekends or any day in the summer there is a line down the block literally with 20 to 100 people waiting just to get in for the cheap pricing on coach bags.

AC will survive, every business sector is feeling the pinch right now. We always have fun in AC. Having tried the Pennsylvania slot warehouses only AC has the variety and FULL casino experience which Penn will never be able to match.

DON = LuckyInnc. is right, PA at this time cannot match what AC has to offer in overall experience= gambling, entertainment, dining,
shopping, accomodations. The SANDS is one of the best in PA and yet it has NO Hotel accomodations,NO shopping, and you cannot use
your accumulated Comp Dollars for anything but food - you cannot
even use them in the small gift shop = that was a poor decision ?
Also, if you want to try your luck elsewhere you have to drive another hour to get to another PA casino whereas in AC you have
your pick via car, jitney or cab. AC better for overnite & prolonged stays thats why there will always be an AC.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
