Unfortunately, drug dealer is right. We are all pretty stupid about drugs and improving the drug use situation here.

Our biggest problem is NOT drugs. Our biggest problem is that we are all CONVINCED that our biggest problem is drugs. This distracts us from corrupt public officials, community concerns and needs, issues at our schools and accountability from our public offices. We have somehow bought into the easy notion that ALL of our problems are because of drug use. Let's not forget that the most abused drug in America is alcohol. Should we criminalize alcohol use? Sales? Ceremony?

We need to get beyond the fear and ignorance that is part of the drug war. We need to examine what can truly be done to put this problem into it's proper perspective along with all the other issues that currently plague us in Southeast NM and America.
