Sorry, but....Did the bike have a light on it? People just 'assume' drivers can see them IN THE DARK when they have no light or reflectors on them. At 11:30pm at night? Its a bit dark at that time. I know I would want to be seen by a driver, because...when it comes to car vs. bicyclist and/or pedestrian....no matter who is in the right....guess who wins???? The 3000 lbs. car wins.

Yes, all of you....hit -n-run is against the law. And I do hope the driver gets caught. But even if the driver stayed at the accident site its the bicyclist who loses. He gambled to be in the street after dark, just like the kid on the skateboard in Monterey Park. When its you or the car, the car wins. Why would anybody take that gamble? Just like the people you hear about that drive around the train signal gates. Who's gonna win...the train of course. And in this siituation, the car wins. Why take that chance? You have to be responsible for your own actions. And yes, that includes the hit -n- run driver. Karma is a powerful force to be reckoned with.

I've often been to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and there are many bicyclist, joggers, and mothers with their babies inside the baby joggers. Now let's suppose a car strikes any one of these people. Especially an innocent baby inside a baby jogger and kills them. I am sure that you have many friends in Pasadena, Strawberry Smiles.
