Judge rejects requests to withdraw plea in homicide case
During an evidentiary hearing this afternoon, a judge denied multiple motions by a 58-year-old former Arpin man to withdraw his plea in the 2004 shooting death of a 25-year-old town of Sherry man.

Man pleads not guilty to fleeing officer
A 29-year-old Arpin man pleaded not guilty in Wood County Circuit Court to charges that he tried to flee an officer.
* Jerrod L. Meissner, 33, of Chili; drunken driving; 30 days in jail with work release and credit for one day, 24-month license revocation, $1,219 fine and he is to attend a victim impact panel.
A 35-year-old Marshfield man was arrested for violating a restraining order at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of East Arnold Street.
