Bus Rapid Transit line on Staten Island moves forward but right-of-way concerns loom

The MTA board is expected to approve on Wednesday a $4.8 million, 24-month contract for preliminary environmental and engineering work. The MTA board is expected to approve next steps for Staten Island's North Shore Bus Rapid Transit system on Wednesday, although the previously approved right of way could be compromised by developments and superstorm Sandy.
