Families forge kinship at Valley half marathon
“If Jane can do it, let me try,''”
After running the 5K kickoff to the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon in Allentown on Sunday, Jim Ott's five children and wife waited near the finish line to cheer him through the last leg of his first half marathon.
''Go Jim!'' ''Go Dad!'' his sons and a daughter yelled before wife Selena snapped his picture.
The Lehigh Valley Half Marathon marked a rare moment for the Ott family of Bath -- being in one spot at the same time. Even last year's camping trip fell short one: Mac, now 22, was serving in Iraq. Read more
