After running the 5K kickoff to the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon in Allentown on Sunday, Jim Ott's five children and wife waited near the finish line to cheer him through the last leg of his first half marathon.

Real estate developer appeals sentence
Real estate developer Mark Mendelson is appealing his two-month prison sentence and $1 million fine for conspiracy and bribing a bank executive to help with the purchase of a former flea market in Montgomery County.
Mendelson, 52, of Villanova filed the appeal last week after U.S. District Judge James T. Giles denied his bid for a 30-day extension to appeal, saying ''it would appear that the motion is solely for delay.''
Mendelson, who was sentenced March 26, is scheduled to surrender May 8 to begin his prison term. Read more
