"The two men are also charged with conspiring to rob 13 grams of cocaine, a handgun and $50 cash. Their bond was set at $200,000 each."
bobette, What is really wrong is the bond on these two when the bond on the child abuse case was $20,000 per adult. Bonds are not supposed to be rated as a "sentence" but I would think that child abusers would be high flight risks. |

Poor Keith shot in the stomach. What I wonder is did the police charge him with possesion of 13 grams of cocaine? Is anyone going to be charged with a drug crime? That is what the APD do best. Stop speeders and roust petty drug users.

13 grams of yeyo is far from petty! I've explained many times that drugs are very dangerous as the collateral damage can be massive. |

I should have seperated the lines. 13 grams is distribution. That is dealing and not for recreational use. I don't condone drug use, but think our current system of prohibition is wrong. We spend far too many tax dollars incarcerating the user. If it were legalized and regulated then there wouldn't be dealers or drug lords. We would need strickt testing in crutial jobs, but for the most part society would probably be better for it. At least that huge tax burdon would be lifted, and if not returned to the people. Then at least redirected to where it could do some real good. Sorry I ranted a little. |

this is the second time for kennedy being charged with shooting someone. was a fugitive and found in kentucky and I think was shot himself in the 1st shoot-out. this character doesn't need community service, but needs to be put away for a long time.
asheville needs to be hard on crime and have the guts to put someone away. look at all the shootings going on in asheville now, need to make an example of these thugs. hard labor, chain gang with leg irons and have his picture making little rocks out of big rocks. |
