A Buncombe County jury found a 72-year-old Arden man guilty of holding a hotel owner at gunpoint and using forged keycards to steal jewelry from rooms.

Buncombe County deputies say they caught an Arden man with meth and pot. Richard Miguel Whiteside, 29, of Beale Road, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to arrest warrants.

A 72-year-old Arden man once convicted of murder -- but later exonerated -- denied using forged keycards to enter and rob hotel rooms.
