Fatality reported in I-26 wreck near Arden
One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident this afternoon on Interstate 26 eastbound between the Airport and Long Shoals Roads exits in South Asheville.

An autopsy has determined that an Arden man found dead in a Madison County creek in February died of drowning.

Police have arrested a man and charged him with having a pound of marijuana. Mohammad Mahdi Zaghari, 22, of Arden is charged with having one pound of a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle to keep the marijuana and selling the controlled substance.
