Why Ireland... Well they provide tax free income for any company and product that has an Irish patent. The laugh in the past was that a company had 60 million in revenue funneled through ireland, one employee, and diluted taxes as a result.

This is all part of the failed economic model that was instituted in the 1970s. It's about time that someone was taken to task on this failure. But is it happening, is there going to be a change from this failure? The answer is NO, NO change, just the same old failed thinking that starts in the financial institutions in New York City, the heart of the ecomomy. Forget about any badly needed reform. These people running the show in New York will just keep on the failed track without any regard for the cost of living or the standard of living of the USA. Expect more of the same failed policy into the future years in the USA.

The company said the cuts are part of a broader plan to reduce its global work force and focus more resources on growth prospects outside the U.S. What the hell? Between the lines I read, The cuts are part of a broader plan to reduce the local work force and increase profits by exploiting resources outside the U.S. Its all about profit for the leadership and shareholders. The hell with the rest of you........

Let's see Ford leaving; NWA as good as gone, and now Medtronic is cutting 350 more jobs. These companies aren't alone. Almost everyday there's a story about another company sending jobs overseas. These are good, quality, livable income jobs that aren't coming back. Will the last greedy company leaving Minnesota please turn out the lights? Are there enough fast-food joints and Walmart's to employ everyone? Maybe, if communal living, 10 people in a 2 BR apartment suits you, cause that's the only way you'll be able to keep a roof over your head. This is so sad.

He's just someone who uses sarcasm to stir the pot and turn every topic into politics.

McDonalds and Walmarts in the metro are still hiring. So, there are still a few good jobs around the metro.
