Diane Thomason Risner - works at Senath State Bank at least she would actually go to council meetings, pay attention and vote for whats right not just what somebody else tells her to do |
why do you fell the need to use Dianes middle name just cant understand women that do that. Is she scared to leave the Thomason out of her issues or is it for name recognition. Just a thought. |
|
|
I think people just use old and new names so everyone will recognize who they are talking about. These are just my thoughts.

riding the coat tails dont you think. Did she use her madien name with Thomason. Shes married to Jerry and Rinser is the name she needs to stand by. I think Jerrys a great person. I wouldnt wont my wife using a former name. Stand up and be counted for who you are. Will we see Thomason Risner on the ballot, if we do I would'nt vote for her

I think Gene is well qualified for the position. He is one of the good people in Kennett. I also have personal reasons. Phil |

knowing Diane she talked to Jerry before she did it this way. Not everybody knows her yet as Risner and her daughter's last name is still Thomason. my wife puts her maiden name in sometimes and i am man enough not to mind one bit. |

well, this is America and everyone is entitled to their opinion. the thing is that somebody can be a good person and still not really be qualified to do the job. |

i did it because i've known her longer as Thomason than as Risner and even though i like Jerry and he and Diane seem very happy together i almost forget sometimes and call her by Thomason. and by the way, if men changed their names when they got married, especially men who were well known in the business world by one name, then you might understand. no disrespect to any husbands - i am one and i can't understand the fuss. |

Gene Watts is very qualified. All you have to do is talk to him to see that he's got the smarts and the guts to do what's right!

does anyone know who is running for city counsel in cardwell and arbyrd?
|
|
|
As posted in the DDD newspaper:
Clerk Erma Branum with the city of Arbyrd made a big announcement Thursday, when she announced Mitch Skelton has filed for city marshal. Skelton has served as the city's water superintendent for a number of years. Branum said Paul Phillips filed to run against incumbent Mayor Lonnie Gibson, Jr. Incumbent Jessica Zolman has filed again for North Ward Alderman, two-year term. Johnnie Zolman has filed for the North Ward alderman, one year term seat, which Ron Branum was appointed to late last year. Branum, who had filed for the position again since no one had filed but withdrew from the race after learning Zolman had recently filed. Branum has served the city in many capacities and resigned his position a few years back, but he came to the city's rescue after it was left crippled with the lack of aldermen early last year. Robert Burgess and Alfred Vallee have filed for the South Ward Alderman seat. Cardwell City Clerk Mary Vaughn said the city has had two to file for the one north and one south ward alderman seat. Judith Oravet filed for South Ward alderman, which is currently held by Rebecca Hall. Alderman John Bishop did not run for reelection, therefore, his seat as North Ward alderman remains vacant. |

I believe Gene to be his own man and will vote his own ideas and not someone else's. Phil |
