DNR proposing shorter ruffed grouse season Wednesday, September 5

DNR officials will hold a meeting in Rhinelander on Thursday to talk about potentially shortening the ruffed grouse hunting season. Scott Karel, a DNR Regulation Policy Specialist, says normally the grouse season would run from September 15th to January 30th, 2019 in Zone A. But if approved the plan would cut nearly two months off of that season.
