Blame the liberals, illegal immigrants and light rail.
All their fault. |
|
|
Please don't kill the lice. They have feelings too.
Animal rights forever. |

I remember the summer of the louse in my neighborhood when the kids were small. Oh what a miserable experience

You forgot to mention the smoking ban. |

Reading this makes my head itch ....

If you need to blame anybody then blame the rich white kids, kids from republican homes.

Head lice and bed bugs were wiped out by European American hygiene years ago.
Now, thanks to 40 years of third world immigration, they are back. No wonder people want to home school their kids. How else do you keep them safe from filth? |
|
|
has anyone looked at school buses as the means of spreading the lice?
|
|
You're right! And while we're at it I'm sure the enviros are responsible too. |
|
|
Chuck, you are an idiot!
We just went through this when my oldest brought it home from grade school. It sucks and is hard, but we did get through it. |

It's the same reason why bed bugs now infest so many hotels and private homes today and diseases like tuberculosus are back in America. Immigration from third-world countries.

Well, it couldn't be from the african immigrants, since their hair is coarse and spread out. It's nearly impossible for them to get it. It's people with straight hair that deosn't bet washed regularily. Plus, Eagan is a very white city and I bet 99 percent of the kids who got it, were white. Come on now, all races have parents who put they're own hygeine infront of their kids. |

Their parents got rich by working for a living rather than taking the Democrat's handouts |

Your right about black folks hair, but it doesn't have anything to do with poor hygene & not washing your hair. The reason it's so bad in some cases is because people treat the head but don't properly clean sheets, clothes, stuffed animals, etc... Then the lice come back time & time again, but become immune to the medicine. Mayo treatments in the hair work just as good as medicine & lice don't become immune. Mayo smothers the lice & gives you a nice conditioning treatment but because it's so oily the hair must be washed with dish soap to get all the mayo out. Also the eggs need to be removed because the medicine does not kill the eggs & those icky little things will multiply quick. Enough said, now I'm itchy |
Don't waste your time arguing with someone like that. He's either a bored middle-school kid trying to stir up trouble, or a total fanatic who lives in a world beyond reason. |

I think she was trying to say that lice don't thrive in african american hair & it's true. |

I had a child in Moreland Elementary School in West St Paul, and he came home with lice. I bought the right medicine to get rid of it. Followed the instructions and re-applied the medicine in 1 week. Washed everything in his bedroom, living room, etc. Followed the whole drill. None of my son's immediate friends didn't catch it. Then my son, told me that he forgot his hat at home and they gave him a hat from the lost and found to wear. Low and behold he got lice. I blame the schools for this. Giving out hats and scarves to wear so they can go outside for recess because they forgot their own? And maybe they do catch it from the buses, but I never would allow my kids to take the bus. Too much going on the buses that would make you think twice before you would allow your child on the bus. And now they are charging for bus use? If a child does not have a hat or scarf of his/her own, keep them in from recess, don't put a dirty hat on their head.
And in the nurses office, how many students share that pillow on those cots? No, they do not put a clean towel or cloth on the pillow. I saw this first hand. |

Lice have not been wiped out in this country. They've been around forever.
My sisters and I had lice when we were in elementary school back in the 70's and I guarantee you, it didn't come from any immigrants in our little isolated farm town. uh huh -- your stupidity is exposed. |

Hey, I'm not the rube who came from the hick town, you are.

Go Pinewood! I'd like to dedicate this post to the SCHOOL NURSES! You are battling this for us on the front lines. Thank you for all you do every day in the schools.
P.S. Tess of St Paul: thank you. |
