Hope for springs may not be eternal
“I can't imagine not having a cool stream to dip my feet into, or I can't imagine my son not having one when he is my age.”
There are few resources in Texas considered more precious than its natural springs. via MySA.com

Springs of Texas is a disappearing book--I have only seen 3 copies and they are selling for $75.
Perhaps it is better not to let the public know where the springs of Texas are--some spring gush and feed rivers while other springs whisper quietly out of small damp rocks, and only make themselves heard after a hard rain. Those springs hold the water and carefully dole it out over long periods of drought and sometimes are only visible as maidenhair fern. |
