Our position: It's great to see "green" development but more are needed

Orange County keeps working at becoming one of the greener counties around. It's trying to get solar and other eco-energy sources to provide at least 15 percent of the power that county-owned buildings will ... via The Orlando Sentinel

The only green I've seen is the snot coming out of our representatives noses. What a scam. The Earth has been cooling off for the last 10 years. If this "global warming" keeps up were all going to freeze to death.

Most of us would be willing to try more "green" systems to conserve electricity, etc. if it wasn't so damned expensive. Too many sharks out there taking advantage of people selling them solar systems at 2 times the worth and other rip offs. The State also just stiffed a bunch of solar water heater customers for the promised $500 incentive.

Things you can do yourself, is to disconnect your tub, shower, sinks from the sewer and run it all out to your flower beds and trees.

To all the dimwits (greenies)out there here’s what a solar system cost for a home:

These prices do not include installation.

Great idea but to expensive for the average homeowner. But I have a idea. Why doesn’t Orange County waive the impact fees and other taxes on new houses if they go green? Put your money where your mouth is.

Another hoax and money waster for we that live in Orange county. No doubt, Buddy's friends who are losing money in real estate have now gotten into the "green" business to turn a profit.

And they just ran a story on TV about the guy buying a home windmill. The city or county wants $900 for the permit and then they still haven't approved it yet. So anything you do to improve could get slammed down by some home owners association.
