PROOF - WAR ON IRAQ IS FOR OIL
Bush decided to invade Iraq in April 2001, six months before September 11th, and the official reason was to improve Western access to Iraqi oil.
"President Bush's Cabinet agreed in April 2001 that 'Iraq remains a destabilising influence to the flow of oil to international markets from the Middle East' and because this is an unacceptable risk to the US 'military intervention' is necessary". The decision for military action had nothing to do with 9/11, the war on terrorism, the UN weapons inspections, weapons of mass destruction, Iraqi human rights, or any of the factors that the US government would like you to believe are the true motives for war.
The only people who will benefit from the war on Iraq are the elite wealthy oil men who finance Bush's election campaigns, and people like Bush who have huge personal investments in the oil industry. Oil company profits have already increased by 200 percent this year because of the war.

But for those who STILL think the invasion of Iraq was due to WMD's or the war on terrorism or the rights of Iraqis will not change their mind- even at this late date. I guess for some people, the REAL "horrors" of why GW invaded Iraq are just too horrendous to accept, and as is often the case, the truth hurts. However, that doesn't make your statements any less true, nor does it make the horror of the invasion of Iraq any less real. Never had I felt the urge to hang my head in shame over being an American until GW became president. Due to his many inept, incompetent, dishonest and morally corrupt actions, he has brought disgrace to our once great country. My fear is that all the incredible harm he has caused during his presidency will take many, many years to rectify- if it's even possible.

Love the reference to Code Pink as a simple anti-war group. Yeah, right. CP is a bunch of wacked out women who think Obama is too conservative. They represent 1% of the population. Cindy Sheehan's posse. Ugh!

Did anybody else how the 5th anniversary of the start of the war went virtually unmentioned yesterday by the Bush Propaganda Ministry (aka Fox News)? Instead, they had their attack dogs focus on Barack Obama and Rev. Wright. And Bill O'Reilly is still obsessed with the Spitzer sex scandal. Not even lead Bush cheerleader Sean Hannity had the pom-pons out yesterday. Yet they keep proclaiming the surge as a splendid success. Amazing, isn't it?

You should do so because you are so much of a coward you won't even defend yourself. Look at the article. It states; "We're seeing more thumbs up and honks than we did five years ago." That means they were protesting AS THE WAR STARTED which would have been before any of these so called facts came out that they are spewing. Let's face it - some people are just plain cowards and would rather be slaughtered like those were on 9/11 than stand up and defend themselves! Those people on 9/11 never had a chance to defend themselves and they sure couldn't count on people like you to do it for them.

What do you people want? You want us to pull out of Iraq now, when there IS DEMONSTRATED IMPROVEMENT, so it can fall to the terrroists and Iran? So the innocent people of Iraq can be slaughtered and oppressed once again? So the dictatorships and terror states can claim victory over us, become bolder and stronger, and take their death and destruction show to our shores? Each military death is a tragedy, but they understand their mission. To stop the progress now and let all the work, money, sweat, tears and sacrifice go down the drain would surely, once and for all make your fantasy come true that these heroes have died in vain. If the anti war types get their way they will create the very situation they have been blaming Bush for - miltary deaths in vain.
Thank you armed forces for your bravery and fortitude, for understanding and carrying out your mission so beautifully, for your progress in a difficult situation, for standing strong in the face of the likes of Code Pink and the far left Dems who wish us to fail, and for taking the fight to the terrorists over there so we can go about our business here at home. Thank you for protecting our freedom and trying to spread freedom to the Middle East. Peace through strength. Peace through victory over a vicious enemy.

As I said, I knew from the start that this war was a SHAM and that NONE of the reasons given by GW were the TRUTH for his invasion of Iraq. What part of the invasion of Iraq having NOTHING, ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, ZIP to do with 9/11 don't you understand?? A coward? Hardly. An intelligent realist? Definitely. However, I wonder how you, on the other hand, manage to chug so much kool-aid with your head forever buried in the sand- or maybe it's someplace else where the sun doesn't shine!

OCB, I think your wasting your time. Some people are just too stupid to understand the truth. This war is about OIL and nothing else. When George W. took office Oil was $27 a barrel, it's now $110 a barrel. Guess who's making all the money??

It will take more than a generation to undo the damage the troika of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld has done. Both to our nation, and the rest of the world. I understand that there is no statute of limitations for the crime of treason. Perhaps those three will hang someday, at least figuratively, for what they have done.

Well, the guy calls ME a coward; I don't think he's too stupid to understand the truth- I think HE'S too COWARDLY to accept the truth that is staring us all right in the face. And the price of oil? Even just a year ago it was HALF of what it is now- and yep- there's nothing like having an oil man from an oil family for pres, especially one as incompetent, arrogant, dishonest and morally corrupt as our own GW is. 10 (LONG) months and counting......

Small consolation though it may be, in the scheme of things, what goes around comes around and they will surely get theirs. Don't know how, don't know when, but I do know it's a certainty that in whatever way, they will get theirs.

On this solemn occasion, I would like to share several quotes from the grand poobah of right-wingnut radio, the esteemed Mahareshi Rushie.
From March 2003: "Now that our troops have entered Baghdad, the entire military operation should be complete within only a matter of days, and American casualties will probably number no more than 150 or so."
From December 2004: "Now that the Iraqi elections have been successfully completed, the thirst for democracy is going to spread like wildfire throughout the Middle East. Mark my words, folks, by the end of his second term, George W. Bush will be recognized as the father of democracy in the 21st century."
So much for that 98.7% accuracy rating, eh Rush?
If any of you Dittoheads out there who still support this disastrous presidency would like to try to spin these comments, please feel free to do so. Good luck.

I NEVER listen to Olberman- no need to- GW's record speaks for itself. What GW has wrought upon this country- and many parts of the rest of the world has NOTHING to do with viewpoints- it all comes down to FACTS, and the FACTS speak for themselves. And yes- we KNOW there are alternative "viewpoints" out there- courtesy of Rush and O'Reilly- just to name two. Is that all YOU listen to?

Thursday, March 20, 2008 (New York) US President George W Bush struck a strikingly low approval rating in five years after he gave green light to the invasion of Iraq, with only 31 per cent of Americans approving his handling of the job, according to a latest poll. Sixty-seven per cent of those questioned in the survey, released on Wednesday on the fifth anniversary of the start of the conflict in 2003, disapprove the President's performance. The 31 per cent approval number is a new low for Bush in and is 40 points lower than the President's number at the start of the Iraq war.

32 people show up to protest the war. Big deal. I always remember what Ronald Regan said when he saw a group of protesters holding signs that said" make love, not war" He said it didn't look to him like they could do either....
I'm not sure though if he was completely correct... these anti-war freaks are just they're offspring....

Dont' forget that Congresses approval ratings are half of Bush's. Dont' believe me? look it up. And I believe that would be for a Democratic majority congress who was going to "change the world" !!!!

So the real question is not GW's low approval rating, it's twice what Congresses is. Doesn't that make him an incredible success?
