N. Bay Mom Pleads Guilty In Child's Hot Car Death

An Angwin mother whose 10-month-old daughter died from heat exposure in the back of her car last year has been sentenced to three years probation and 120 hours of community service.
Haley Wesley, 28, pleaded guilty Thursday to a misdemeanor charge of child endangerment after Napa County Superior Court Judge Diane Price denied defense attorney Doug Pharr's motion to dismiss an involuntary manslaughter charge.
The Napa County District Attorney's Office then offered Wesley a plea Wednesday to the lesser, misdemeanor charge, Pharr said. Read more
