State to fund airline search

“Right now, the proposal is that to participate, a community would put up $200,000 for one flight from the community. Two flights a day from their community would be up to $400,000. Everyone has an investment in the project”

Gov. Bill Richardson has pledged to set aside $5 million as seed money to entice major airline carriers to provide intrastate air service in New Mexico. via Carlsbad Current-Argus
