City zoning board denies Altieri use variance for impound lot
Altieri's Auto's request to resume storing impounded vehicles on its waterfront property in Amsterdam's South Side was denied, which is an action the family-owned business has warned could force bankruptcy. Amsterdam Zoning Board of Appeals members Thursday evening voted 4-1 against the use variance Anthony Altieri, owner of Altieri's Auto, requested to operate an impound lot at his River Street property.
