Bayou Vista woman arrested for obstruction of justice
A 27-year-old Bayou Vista woman was arrested Tuesday by a St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputy for obstruction of justice after she claimed she struck a man with her fist at a park, but video surveillance indicated that her statement was false, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert.
$2.5M approved for St. Mary Parish school projects
The St. Mary public school system's three maintenance districts together approved $2.5 million in maintenance and capital projects this week.
