The controversy over the Dakota Access Pipeline is the latest example of people putting roadblocks in the way of a clean energy future. Or is it back to the future? The Texas company parenting the pipeline, "Energy Transfer Partners," is determined to install this myopic 1,200-mile monstrosity of oil extraction regardless of the legal and scientific objections to it.
