Did your racing involve an accident? Were their any injuries? Were you RACING at all or speeding?

Looks like they got what they deserved, its too bad they didn't die....... that would have been better punishment. Stupid people do stupid things and they should PAY ROYALLY for their mistakes.

You might try reading the WHOLE story IE:Racing is a felony in Texas if someone gets hurt. Think of how your life would change if you killed someone going 137, you seem proud of that record. It may get you an unwanted record. What's wrong with a drag strip?

The majority of racing accidents, the driver doesn't always get killed. The passengers or innocent by-standers do. Why should they PAY ROYALLY for the actions of stupid people?

Survival of the fittest. Only problem with that is, in this case, innocent people were endangered.

In addition to prosecuting the drunken kid/murderer, authorities should prosecute his "parents".

Maybe if this country passed legislation where parents are automatically prosecuted for the crimes of their minor kids, there'd be fewer incidents like this.

I am confused. Didn't Burchfield kill the lady in the wreck in Feb? Amazing that he was allowed to be out on bail AND drive. He was 17 in Feb. when he killed the lady, now 18. Where were his parents? How did he have access to a car to race?

I think the racing wreck happened about a week BEFORE the drunk wreck where the lady died. He was "just now" arrested for the racing wreck if that makes any sense.
The drunk wreck, he was driving a truck.
The racing wreck he was in a car.

My bet is his parents gave him BOTH car & truck.

YES, the PARENTS should be punished for this also, in my opinion.

I can't believe his parents allowed him to drive what are they teaching their kid. My mother knows the family of the woman killed and the child was still in therapy and missing his mom and the husband still can seem to part with the items of his wife and does not want a chair that she sat at when she got home from work moved, and this BRAT is out and having FUN. Why was he not prosecuted and why would his parents allow him to continue on this path of destruction, at the same time I can't help feeling sorry for this kid because there is obviously no love/regard for life in his household.

the racing accident was before the drunk driving accident.. not that it makes the situation any better.

Brandon was indeed the one that was involved in the racing wreck and the DUI wreck that killed that woman. The kid that was riding with him (when he hit the woman) is paralyzed for life.
