Sheriff makes drug arrest

Another reason to keep the current Sheriff.

Sherriff needs to visit drug heaven/central

Every drug arrest that has been made in the past two years by the Sheriff's office has been what is called "snitch buys".

It is a great PR tool for the sheriff that is used with the public is unaware of how it works. They find someone that is jambed up on a drug charge or any charge and wants to "work it off". Commander Kramer as he likes to be called hands the jambed up doper money to go by drugs. The Doper goes in to his source and buys the dope and hands it over to the Commander. Then the Task-Force (Commander Kramer) will get a warrant citing a "CI" better know as a "confidential informant" or snitch purchased the drugs. The warrant is served and the guy goes to jail and Commander Kramer calls the paper.

The snitch who made the buy is then put on probation and thrown back on the street to continue cooking and selling Meth as he kicks in your door to steal your computer to pay for his habit. In the turn of events the new guy arrested does the same, is put on probation and throw back on the streets to continue to sell and use Meth and again kicking your door in to steal your property. This is why the burglary rate is through the roof.

It all sounds like some great police work. The fact it this kind of drug buy is an earmark of a rookie narc that is unsupervised. The case will never hold up in court that is why they keep "flipping" the dopers to the next one.

The snitch buy does grab headlines, but it adds to the overall drug problem. This paper reports on court cases of drug dealers that have been convicted and sent to the joint. Think about it when was the last drug case you read about going to court and the bad guy going to jail?

The snitch buy is a waste of your money, adds to the burglary problem, and never ends up in court and if by some mistake they do end up in court the bad guy always walks. When was the last article you read about a doper getting any time in this county? It will not happen.

It is laughable, and tells me KC Martin took the bait.

Marty! someone at the news! it would be a great follow up story to several articles you have written about the sudden flurry this year of drug arrests to find out just how many have gone to court and what has happened. How many people who were arrested are back out on the street? How many cases the D.A. actually made? How many for whom the charges were dismissed? How far up the food chain in the drug world this drug sweep reached? Did any Mr. Big's go down or just a couple of pathetic low on the totem pole addicts?

Shane Carpenter ( the nephew of Sheriff Virden's favorite secretary) is back out on the streets. His family posted a considerable bond and Judge Proctor dismissed the other three warrants. Keep your kids in the yard and stay off the road. One unfortunate women in Albuquerque didn't get out of the way in time and now she is DEAD! DUI resulting in vehicular homicide.

P.S. Former chief Spencer of Carrizozo was the last police officer to arrest him. Gee, where is she now!

Shane Carpenter LOOOOSE? Oh no, he was trying to sell meth to my daughter. Also tried to give her a ride from school. I told Spears and he was too busy to see or talk to us.

Take a hard look at Shawn Rankin & Shane Paquin. they run a well documented meth house when they are not in jail for domestic abuse drug charges stolen property and so on!! 106 Chelsea drive in Ruidoso I think thats the address (Its the only property that looks like it should be condemned. Everyone in Ruidoso should be aware including law enforcement should be notified If you want to buy METH this is the place to go because law enforcement knowingly and willingly let it happen . The only reason I dont take care of it is I would get arrested for doing what the cops cant and wont do!!!!

what happened to the guy who got busted in the walgreens parking lot? your paper had lots of nice pictures bet he's out and at home.

They are all out and at home, well someone's home, while they are not there and ripping the computer of TV and guns. Look at the stats, this sheriff is nothing but a taillight chaser and would not make a pimple on a real cops....

In Capitan it's Island street where the meth dealer and buyers hang out. You can see the commerce from the little league softball fields.

Check the guy out on nmcourts.com all the cops would have to do is look...oh never mind I know that is asking to much.

Shane had court on Monday. Does anyone know if he got away with those charges also & is he still free & on the streets. How crazy that he continues to get away with all this crap.

i remember when the nightcrawler was free and pulled the same crazy operation in capitan with haskins and the rest of the sederwall crew. I think the nightcrawler got paid more for that one job than the either haskins or sederwall made all year

His Aunt is the Sheriff's secretary. The wife beater from Capitan that got the police department fired for arresting him is the secretary's brother. The secretary's children get a free pass from the sheriff on their illegal drug connections. Get it! Their behavior amazingly falls through the cracks at the Sheriffs office and the D.A.'s office. Now do you get why they are fighting like the family business is in danger? Look them up on NM courts.com . They run into trouble in other jurisdictions but the sheriff gives them a free pass here and his secretary shows up to destroy criminal evidence. What is the matter, you criminals masquerading as law enforcement afraid of what will happen if a non club member gets in office.

Sam, you conspired, forged letters and lied to remove police you couldn't control because your good friend LaMoyne is more interested in hiding his family's dirt then he is in doing the right thing. When you have coffee with him today you guys can reminisce about what it was like when you destroyed law enforcement in Capitan. You know, back before the good old boys got their gut full of the drug problem that has thrived under your lack of community leadership. Guess what Sam, the tide has turned and people who use to like you are mad. You only hate drug dealers you don't know. You are quite cozy with the one's you do know. That makes you dishonest and ineffective.
